weird senses

Postby ManyHearts » Mon Feb 11, 2013 7:55 pm

Just now the whole world seemed strange to me, i could see more, feel more, hear more, etc. It started with my head feeling painfull, but not like a headache, it was a "soft" kind of pain, hard to describe. after that my guitar sounded way different, it sounded way clearer than than usual. As if I could hear every vibration. I also felt those vibrations, with the leg on which I put the guitar. I could feel the guitar vibrate. I also felt something strange around my head, as if my head was surrounded with a bubble or something like that. But is didn't feel the same as normally, it was as if if felt something very close to my skin but just not touching it. I couldn't feel or see any alter or whatever.

has anyone ever had anything else like this?
Is it possible that I'm observing the world with the senses of another alter? even though I didn't notice being co-conscious/co-hosting?

It wouldn't surprise me that you might have this gift. It is my opinion that people who are capable of creating the inside world and alters...are using more of their brain than the rest of the world. My son borders on autistic...

As I research that spectrum more, it seems that those who were thought to be catatonic and non-responsive (once they find a way to communicate with them) discover it is not that they are not there. it is that they are almost too much there...every sense is magnified, sometimes being recorded like photographic memories....and so it becomes hard to function without knowing how to process everything. Anyway.

Even if you are not on that spectrum - heightened senses would not seem uncommon to pick up if at some point in your, it was necessary to be hyper vigilant to stay safe. Just some thoughts...

I've definitely had this happen before! I dont know exactly what it is, though... But it's pretty awesome when it happens! :D Helps with music to be able to hear more clearly. Though I agree that it's kinda weird...

We have very heightened awareness which has become extremely important for the job, but also leaves us quite responsive to even little things which isn't necessarily helpful as an adult or good.

I get this. I have this clock that ticks. Most of the time I can't hear it if I tried, but sometimes it drives me so crazy that I have to take it off the wall and throw it in the closet in the other room. Personally, we think our situation has to do with an alter.

On the other hand, we have also heard that if you have this to a lesser degree in normal life, it can get worse with overstimulation and stress. What is your stress like now? Did this experience bother you?

I have had that happen before. When I'm doing something and it happens, especially in school, I get head aches and eye aches and all kinds of other problems from over stimulation. I kinda figured it was a normal thing for peoples perceptions to just suddenly shift and change So I didn't think much about it till I read this.

That is a type of hyper-sensitivity that multiples have the ability to experience on their own. It is not another alter's experience, and it has more to do with the process of characterization of the personality and the coloring of one's parts. When you experience this state of hyper-sensitivity, you should always utilize it to turn your eye inward and pay attention to your parts, to explore and perhaps investigate.
