What Are Some Things You Can Do That Your Alters Can't?

And vise versa. Like I can play guitar ( sorta), but Frank can't. Haven't had the chance to ask Frank things he can do. So I can't list any examples of vise versa yet.

Mr Bates,

That's a great question to ask. For me I wrote with my left hand but when different alters were out they wrote with my right hand. You could tell that there was a difference between the two.

I had one alter that could go through many angry verbal exchanges with my husband. She was one that would back down and man did she ever speak her mind. She let him have it!!! I myself am very quiet and do not like nasty verbal exchanges at all.

I had some alters that smoked like fiends  Then there were a few that thought they were living in 1890. We used to hae a real tug of war over what I would wear out in public as opposed to what they considered decent.

I also had one alter that could play piano beautifully. I couldn't play piano if my life hung on it.

Well, those are just a few things I've noticed over the years.

hahahaha i feel so PSYCHIC!!!!
As soon as I saw that post, before clicking on it, I thought 'Well, I can play guitar, but some of the others can't.'
And lo and behold I found you, Mr. Bates, saying much the same thing!
hehe yeah, i can play guitar very well (okay i don't wanna boast but grade 6 at the very least) Another of my alters can play, and another just plays spanish stuff, but some can't even get their fingers round the frets&strings and get all muddled, like having frostbitten fingers!
Uh...what else...
Oh! Driving! hehe...the amount of times I've scared people in the car when a child alter's taken over. I find that I mvoe the seat forwards or backwards depending, ehich can get annoying.
I know the car's an obvious example, it's just funny when my sis is accompanying me and is subjected to alternately relaxed, smooth journey and hectic, uncontrolled sudden-braking-and-acceleration etc. hehe
I know one of my alters likes smoking but I won't let him as I dont' want 'my' (collective) body to ever be exposed to tar/cigarette smoke etc. i wonder who's gonna give in first!

This is an interesting topic!
-- So what then is this I?
Right now, as you read this, does it amount to anything more than a collection of thoughts and memories which are just transitory, and come and go in the mind like clouds in the sky? --

He he, that is pretty damn funny. I know Frank drinks, I'm pretty sure he smokes too. Not much I can do since he's up and about when I sleep. I don't mind, its better than getting carved like a Thanksgiving Turkey. -_- Though I wish he'd stop getting into fights, its not fun waking up to aching ribs and a nose full of blood. Actual things he does... still haven't asked. D says Frank, oddly enough, can play piano. Apparantly his idea of attracting the ladies  . :D I prefer using my amazing smooth talking skills. Oh, and D is quite the swordsman, and supposedly can play violin. And while we're at it, Frank's left-handed, D and I are both right-handed. Fun fun.

I used to have an alter that came out in the very early hours of the morning. She would get dressed, take off with my car and go out and party :P I used to come home with a whopping hangover. I'm very thankful she was not interested in having sex with each guy she met. But I still had a hard time explaining to my husband why I would be dressed up with make up on at 7 AM in the morning.LOL!!! :D :D

Unfortunately i think one of my alters is the type to sleep with any guys she meets :?

I realised something the other day, something that might be a trigger for one of my alters. The "flirtatious" one seems to take control when ever my sisters boyfriend comes round.

I keep saying to myself "the next time he comes round, ill just not look at him or ill go upstairs and avoid him" but when i see him i think i trigger her and i suddenly find myself glued to where ever im sitting, waiting for him to look at me, worse case is when i secretly want my family to leave the room so i can be with him. "how sick is that"

Now when im "myself" i do not want to flirt with him or certainly do not want to lead him on AT ALL but when he visits something takes control of me and i think it could possibly be one of my alters?

Slap the whore and be like "Turn down the estrogen, ya wench. Legs stay closed, clothes stay on, or I'll think of the most IRRITATING sound, and just mentally play it OVER AND OVER AGAIN!"

I'd like to slap the "flirtatious" alter but i fear she may get more flirtatious lol

I also keep asking myself "is it me not accepting responsabilty for my actoins"? But when such triggers like my sisters boyfriend arrives i believe more and more that im not in control of myself.

If this is a vaild trigger ive found, maybe i can find more triggers and hopefully bring the alters out or at least to be able to communicate with them.
