I am sorry you are going through this denial and thinking you made this up. And if you think you can stop this why are are questioning if people like Etzel is right. You don't seem sure... You aren't fooling yourself into thinking it isn't real. You know it is real.
I'm sorry I am saying it like this.
But I can't stand for someone being swayed by an @$$ like Etzel.

Alright, I agree that that were being a dick. I was going to defend their right to an opinion at first but then they started insulting people which wasn't right...
But the thought that someone comes to the realization that they're faking and that they have a factitious disorder or Munchausen or something, you know? And what if that is ever really the case and people keep reassuring them that they're just in denial, right? That would just make it worse for the other person, right?

Alias, if you really believe you are faking it, and instead have a factitious disorder, see your T about getting an evaluation for it, or Munchausen's disorder. But, if that comes out negative then try to accept this for what it is. Hope you come to terms with whatever you have.
