Challenged Dr. Phil....

So, a lot of us are in a state of shock right now, wondering, "Did we really just do that?"

Yes. Yes we did.

We signed up and logged in to Dr. Phil's page to leave comments on the show he did on DID, and to support Judy and Jenny.

Instead, what ended up happening, was we found ourselves filling out the forum thingy to request being on the show!

This is the nutshell of what we said: "I am "calling out" Dr. Phil! ... I know I'm a nobody, but I challenge Dr. Phil to have the guts to do a live/uncut and/or uncensored show on DID so that people can get a real idea of what it's like, what it is, and how it works. ... Or he can meet/talk with a few of my alters if he wants. All I ask is that he has the guts to do a REAL show on DID, live, not cut/edited and possibly ruined or misconstrued".



Part of me hopes that we get to go on the show and fight for the truth to be heard/known! But another part of me hopes that we go ignored so that we don't risk getting "eaten alive" by skeptics or the media. Or even Dr. Phil.
Let him f*#king try to eat us alive. I'll make sure he f*#king fails.

And so, I guess we will prepare for the "just in case", and we'll be sitting/waiting to see what happens....

We still can't really believe that we actually wrote that, much less sent it in for real...

I commend your bravery. Do not go unarmed, take a top expert or two or three or even four with you. The Dr. Phil show is a nut house. It's more of a rant and rave than any type of help. His staff will dig up anything to cause controversy. Watch your back.

It sounds like you've maybe been a bit triggered by his treatment of it?

We do not know of any experts we could take with us, really. However, Hawk and I will be arming ourselves with credible information and names that we can cite if needed, and both of us are confident enough in our general knowledge of DID overall at this point to at least not be made out as "fools" or "incompetents". ~Rain

I will grace the so-called "Doctor" and the audience with my intelligence, my logic, and my unwavering calmness. And I will not fight Lynn if she is triggered out. I will not leave her alone, I refuse to "use" her in any way, and I will not mistreat her, but I also will not fight her. Let the so-called "Doctor" see what it's like to deal with a 2 yr old alter if she ends up coming out.

No you won't. You'll be up there with us. You're the starting stone. That, and you won't be sitting quietly if he tries to say you're a liar, or an actor, or some bullsh*t like that.
This is very true.

I suppose our only saving grace is that we refuse to do the show if it's not going to be live. We refuse to run the risk of it being cut/edited/misconstrued in any way. If we get the call back, we will only agree to go on the show if it's going to be aired live.

When we originally were going to comment on the board, yes, it was to be about the show he did on DID (though we will admit, we have not viewed it yet as it has problems loading on our computer. But we have read about it/how it went, and yes, we were displeased).

We're certain at least a few of us were indeed triggered by what we read about the show, and it may have helped to give us that extra "push" to send that message in, but overall we've been wanting to challenge shows/people like Dr. Phil for a while, so wanting to go on his show isn't new to us. The fact that we actually applied to be on the show is new to us, however. We never thought we'd actually do something like that.

I'm genuinely worried about what happened on that show I've haven't watched the episode and my computer ain't loading the clip...Now I'm worried if my cousin watches it

I watched the Dr Phil episode. Tried to comment there but they censor heavily. Judy came across as and idiot trying to use Jenny. Jenny barely got to speak. Phil sad he never met a DID. I guess he overlooked Tracy! Good luck getting on the show.
