"Habit is not to be thrown away by any man. It is to be coaxed, slowly, downstairs a step at a time." -Mark Twain
Habits are hard to break. These include habits of thought processes, habits of reactions, habits of choices, habits of mindsets, habits of actions, etc. Any habit can be difficult to break. And on top of that, it's not always easy to heal, either. Mental and emotional wounds are no different than physical wounds. They need to be cleaned out, washed, treated properly, taken care of well, and allowed to heal properly, and that takes time! So don't be so hard on yourself. Changing habits, recovery, and healing all take time by themselves, so they're definitely going to take time when they're bundled together. Be patient with yourself. Believe in yourself. Change and recovery is possible, but only if YOU make it happen. You CAN do this as long as you believe you can and you don't give up.
NO ONE is born bad. And NO ONE who feels sadness and confusion like you do are "unsaveable". You have not been "turned bad" to the point where you can't "turn back". (Hope that made sense). The fact that you're sad at supposedly being "bad" shows us that you have at least some good inside you right now. And I can tell that it's definitely possible for you to be "good". So hang in there and stay strong. You are whoever you CHOOSE to be! No one and nothing can tell you who you are, or make you be something you're not (at least, not forever). You have the freedom now to be whoever you choose to be. And you can be whoever you choose to be.
