Pharmaceutical companies basically have taken over the entire mental health field. Psychiatry is not based on real science, yet they pretend that it is. They make false claims, use rhetoric to lash out against those who dare to question its authority, and create a cult-like atmosphere that results in professionals being ostracized and banned from the community if they speak up. Colin Ross took on pharma and the American Psychiatry Association- he claimed schizophrenia is a joke of a diagnosis, trauma is at the root of most, if not all, serious mental illness, and long-term, empathy-based, therapy is needed to heal these people (us) not drugs. He subsequently lost all funding for research and his 2 hospitals, many attempted to get his license removed and get him barred from the APA (but failed), and he now does most of his work outside of this country. Psychiatry is politics, not science. And psychologists follow in psychiatrists foot steps.
I am many, but we are all in this together.
"Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do."
--Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832)
