Oh my that is pretty nifty   Yeah, Ana used to do stuff like that too. Would hide food and electronics. I mean, the first place to look for food isn't in a laundry bag stuffed in the railing on the porch, but you know.. you learn :P

Anastasia also has the neat gift of hiding herself. Even at the closed in-patient unit the employees told us they had never met someone who had been able to hide on that floor (everything is made so you shouldn't be able to hide). Hiding inside drawers, in teeny tiny crevices - everywhere. Then someone else comes out after she's done hiding and get asked where on earth they were and the new part is just standing there.. um, dunno?

You learn indeed, hahaha. Lola's boy was like, "Where are the keys?" and I was just like, "Probably in the ceiling fan or the hollowed out legs of the kitchen table, that's where they always are."  The kinderkin are like that too. I've found us in places no adult human being should be able to fit in. Cabinets, drawers, closets, hampers, under furniture, behind sinks/toilets, on top of our washing machine/dryer unit (there is about 2 feet of space there, probably less), laundry chutes, on top of the fridge, in small places behind or between furniture, small boxes... If the game of Hide&Seek was an Olympic event I think Anastasia and the kinderkin might take the gold.

Gosh yeah. Exactly like that    I'm so glad I found someone who knows how it feels. A minimalist apartment didn't help because as long as anything is in the room, there's somewhere to hide haha

We were at a festival with some friends once, and we were waiting for music to begin at the courtyard of an old castle, which was quite a big, open space. I 'woke up' in the middle of nowhere, so I started walking around, ending up with the friends. It didn't take long before they asked "Where were you? We turned away for just a few seconds to look at the musicians, and when we turned back you were gone. Seemed like you just disappeared." So I just stood there, answering "I did" while thinking how I managed to leave while walking in a big open courtyard with nobody noticing, and luckily they started laughing and stopped asking questions.

You know you're DID when you put new cookies in a jar, and as soon as you want to grab one out of the jar, it is empty again.

When you're about to hide what you left of a chocolate bar, and then, against your will, end up eating most of what's left.... Despite your ability to control your consumption of junk food.

When you've only taken about 2-3 turns in a very long game, but it's almost over.

Having a TiVo is a great way to know if you have DID it seems.

How many times must we remove certain tv-shows and have them all of a sudden being on serial taping again before realizing, obviously someone in here wants to watch? :P

You've watching something TV or doing anything really, somebody starts the body giggling, and you weren't even aware anyone else was nearby. At first you're not even sure what they find funny about it, but you know it feels juvenile and the giggling isn't at all how you laugh. Then you start to feel happy, not because of the laughter itself but because somebody little is feeling safe and spontaneous enough to be themselves.

When your making a Coffee,Tea etc. and everyone is arguing about how they want it

When somedays at work can be really frustrating due to "did we get that done" "I don't think so"
"I swear we did" "no the boss wasn't there so we couldn't" "no (insert name her) learnt how to do that"
....and so on

When you sit at home for afew days "alone" and still get annoyed that you didn't get any peace and quiet

You're watching Avengers cartoon with your youngest son and he asks if one of the characters has DID...after all, he was Ant Man, the scientist, and then Yellow Jacket... :)
