alrite. skype:
it downloads and installs in no time. go to www.skype.com, click downloads, and if you have windows, click get skype for windows. if you are on a mac, go to the mac link at the bottom and then click to get skype.
it will install, you will be guided through the entire process. there will be ads trying to get you to download Bing or something - just uncheck the boxes. you will be asked for your name, email address, a skype username, and a password. your name is not private, but you can change it any time you want and to anything you want once you sign up.
once you are in, go to 'contacts' in the top left corner, click 'add a contact', 'search directory', and type in 'whoami2222'. thats my skype name. you will see a picture of two silhouettes with laptops, next to the picture, it will say 'james and janice, United States'. click that and add me. skype will send me a friend request and ill show up in the contacts list on the left of the screen. you can send a message by typing into the box at the bottom middle of the screen - the one that says 'send a message'. if you want to add Jess, her skype name is 'daydreamerz14' and her picture is a fairly floating above water. if you want to add LElly, her skype name is 'LEll2012', her picture is a little blonde girl with a big white bow. Jen's account is 'jen.d2005'.
to change your name or picture, go click your name in the upper left of the screen. click profile. then click whatever you want to change - name or picture. you cannot change your skype username.
to change your status (online, offline, invisible, away), click the cloud next to your name in the upper left and select from the choices.
its pretty self explanatory, but if you do run into any trouble, just shoot us a text. if no one replies, you can call the number (just let it ring once - you dont have to wait for an answer. the ring will wake someone up or get someones attention).
dnd:
i dont care which version we play. Jess knows 3.5, but i dont really know much about either version, so either one is fine with me. if we play 4th ed, i wont have any resources (but i dont suppose i need any?), and if we play 3.5 ed, i have a stack of books almost up to my knees (which im sure i dont need anyway?). so whichever one is fine. we just want to play. : )
