Hi all,
I have been searching the internets for advice about something that happened to me over the last weekend, if anyone here has any light to shed on this it would be great and all responses are greatly appreciated.
So, in November of last year I suffered a violent home invasion in which I was hospitalized with severe head trauma due to a bludgeoning by two assailants, I am in my twenties and have since had therapy for PTSD/depression/anxiety among other things.
Everything was going well and I was back to work in February still with a few anxiety issues but nothing unmanageable.
The reason I am here is because last weekend I lost a day, by which I mean that I was in one part of the city in which I live and then within the blink of an eye I was at a friend's house on the other side of the city and my car it turned out later as outside another of my friends house in another completely different part of the city, all in all I think I lost roughly 12 hours.
I have no recollection of what happened, what I did, said or how my car and myself got to where we ended up. My friends after questioning were adamant that my behavior was completely normal and there were no drugs of any kind involved, (alcohol, caffeine or otherwise). This as I am sure you can imagine has been pretty disconcerting and somewhat worrying as anything could have happened in this time and I am worried it could happen again at another completely random time, god forbid at work for example.
I have contacted my therapist about this and have been doing research whilst I am waiting for her to reply, which is how I found this forum.
I am not sure if I am asking a question here but I thought this would be a good place to seek advice and put my story if any of you out there had anything to say on the matter.
I thank you for reading my post and will thank you again for any replies in advance.
