Living In Your Mind [may trigger]

Postby megaman1 » Sat Feb 06, 2016 4:27 am

Serial killers first go through a fantasy/Aura phase where they obsess on fantasies and lose connection to reality. How would someone ground themselves during this, or return to reality?

I think it's be more than simple coping skills but idk

Hi Megaman,

I feel (and fear) you are referring to your own desires here?

My psycs says;
It is a RATIONAL thought to go to great lengths to protect yourself when you feel threatened.. It is an IRRATIONAL thought to want to hurt other people in order to protect yourself.

I have previously had desires to hurt my abuser, who I am still in contact with, however I know, no matter how I am feeling in the moment, these thoughts & desires are Irrational.

Please seek out an inpatient unit before you hurt yourself or anybody else. There is a better way to live & this is how I found some peace.
