I would like to share some facts about diabetes and eye care. Last month I noticed a blurred vision and I went for an eye check up with my friend. They asked me about my medical history and I intimated them about my diabetes. My friend also did her eye check up and she came out within no time. But it took about two hours for my check up. The doctor advised me to wear corrective glasses and I returned to home. I was in a dilemma that I had no idea about why I was having a different kind of check up. I took the hospital’s visit card and browsed in their website to know how a diabetic eye exam is different from a routine exam. I came to know the fact that I have a vision problem because of my diabetes. Also, there are chances of kidney failure also.
