I don't currently have a therapist, I'm trying to get back into treatment through the nhs though, and I had an assessment the other day. I did see my gp a couple of days ago and I told her how the sertraline is making me feel but she said I should stay on it for another month to see if I improve. She also put my dose up to 100mg. Ive taken 2 of the higher dose to far and all it has done is make me sleep 17 hours!
I will update on my progress xx

I also found with this medication that i either couldn't sleep for days on end or i would sleep 20 hours a day. I would wake up-make a drink and think i was up but as soon as i sat down i would be asleep again. It also did funny things to my appetite, i could eat two Belgian buns (stodgy dough with currents and covered in icing - huge amount of calories), yes one wasn't enough i would eat two, then for the really sick bit, i could eat two more straight away!!!!! Yes that's four Belgian buns in a row. I would never normally do that. As soon as i stopped taking this medication i stopped doing that.

Just to update, I've been on the higher dose just over a week and I don't feel as numb as I did before, I have been crying which I couldn't do before. So maybe it wasn't the sertraline that did that, maybe it was just me. It's hard to know where the meds start and my own feelings begin. I don't feel any better though.

Just another update, I'm still on the sertraline, up to 200mg. I saw a lot of improvement on the higher dose but then plateaued and started feeling worse again, so my doctor has just added Olanzapine 2.5mg to start, probably going up to 5mg. I'm glad I stuck it out tbh. I'm starting treatment with a new cpn tomorrow.
