What do I say to my depressed niece...?

i have major depression with psychotic features, some of the psychotic features are stress induced and include self injury like i have done to myself, seek professional help with your neice, and if she ever begins to hear or see things, take her to the emergency room, and get her help quick, the sooner she addresses her issues and fixes them however,- healthily that is, the sooner she can be that wonderful person again, because she'll feel it:)

another piece of advice

if they want to try her on an antipsychotic, i wouldn't go there, unless it was completely neseccary, get them to try her on an antidepressant that not only is for depression, but anxiety as well, that type of drug might do the most good.

i personally will take anti psychotics if nessecary, but as long as i am on prozac, i am happy enough to handle things, and my mind is clear, finally, and remeber, it is always best to start on med and then another, not both at once, i have done it, but it's almost overkill, just suggestions, but follow a doctor, a good one, you have to trust them
