There are a few of these posts going around...

The admin said that if this person is really a psych then to prove it, become a member and show that he is, show us proof.

Otherwise if he/she is pretending to be one, well... that is not right at all.

I agree that people posing as doctors isn't the most honorable thing to do.

I also feel that anyone who comes to a forum, any forum, and feels the need to ask someone there to cure them, then it's time they seek out real one to one professional help of some sort.

This is an excellent forum and I've read through a lot of it and seen many people educated by experience offer excellent advice.

I just hope that this is seen as support to healing rather than a solution or means of diagnosis on it's own.

Dr. Jones is most probably not a doctor, and if he were would be the last one anyone should be looking to for help purely because of his ethics.

Having said that, he seems to have brought smiles to a few people who have been posting here and at least his stupidity made others laugh for a part of their day.

I remember that aqua song too.

What a really good positive spin on this thread....glad you offerred this up!!

I agree w/ you ...anyone feeling they need true psychiatrict help....well...a true....highly qualified and well educated person in this profession is not going to go to sites such as this and approach potential clients in the manner this "Dr. Jones" has done. I cannot tell you whether or not he is truly a professional in this field. But I would question the ethics in how he conducts business....and where!!!

You nailed it Karma.

No one on this site has a right to give out a diagnosis to anyone, saying this is what you have.

You can give out opinons on what you may think it could be whether it's anxiety, depression, PTSD etc but if it's only from your own expierences and not something that you randomly just assume is wrong.

Well put Karma, excellent post!

WOW!

Thank you all so much. I'm just finding my feet here, I love to write, I love to think and I love to learn. This forum allows me to do all three whilst helping me to see things that are beneficial to me also.

You just made a crazy BPD chick feel kind of worthy, that is a huge deal and something I don't feel very often.

Thank you.

I guess this topic can be locked, the professional has been banned from Psych Forums.
