Always Sleepy

Postby Wispy » Mon Mar 12, 2012 3:08 pm

I've been tired for days...It's extremely difficult to concentrate in school, and when I'm at home I sleep for hours, wake up, and want to go back to sleep. At work, my movements are so slow that people must get mad at me (although they don't say anything...I'm a cashier). It's hard to type this because my arms feel so heavy...

This started when I started taking Fluoxetine, but it's only 10 mg and I've only been taking them since Thursday, March 8th, so I don't think it's the pills that are doing this. I was tired every day before, but not to this extent at all. My boyfriend's starting to get mad at me because I always want to get off the phone earlier than he does so I can sleep. xD What's going on with me?

Sometimes the first few days of starting a new medication can be really rough, but then slowly evens out over time. It could be the depression, and in a sense, it could be anything.

It could also be that you've just been working really hard. School could be a stressor, and work could as well. But, like I said, it very well could be anything. I'd give the medication another week or so, and if you still feel like nothing is improving, then it might be a good time to talk with your doctor about some alternatives.

Rx. Stelazine 4mg, Invega 12mg, Vistaril PRN
