Hello.
I created this in the depression section because I have no idea where else to post it.
It all started 4 weeks ago. My fiance had abdominal pains and he experienced a panic attack and we went to the hospital. The
doctors said to us nothing they just kept him in the hospital for 2 hours with a serum.
Anyway, the following week he had diarrhea, abdominal pains and fever. He had some
examinations and diagnosed with salmonellosis. They kept him in the hospital for 3 days
with serum, antibiosis and healthy eating. After 10 days we went to our pathologist and he
said to us that salmonellosis has gone although my fiance had severe chest and head pains,
abdominal pains and he seemed like he was depressed (he felt exhausted, he wanted to
sleep all day but he couldn't and he wakes up 3-4 times during night, he felt he was a failure etc). We went to a psychologist and a psychiatrist too.
The psychologist didn't diagnose anything and the psychiatrist said it was anxiety and
nothing more. We went to the pathologist again and he prescribed him Zoloft. He said to
take them for 2 months. Today he had mood swings (he felt excited then depressed) and he
had head pain. he also wanted to sleep all day. We are thinking about going to a neurologist
tomorrow. I have no idea what is going on.
I want to add the most important of all. His grandmother (I have seen her 3 times in total)
acts strange and walks strange. Her 2 daughters are mentally deficient, her other 2
daughters are in psychotics and my mother-in-law acts and walks strangely like her
mother. Maybe this is all about heredity? My fiance starts to have the same problem? what
do you guys think?
Sorry for the long text. Thank you in advance.

I think the neurologist is a good idea.
Did he ever get a CT scan while having these symptoms? Does he have headaches?
Final question - What does he eat every day?

Hello and thanks for the reply.
Nop, never did a ct scan. I think it is prescribed by the neurologist right? Thats why I want to visit the neurologist too. In the other hand, I have read that headaches are a common symptom of depression. But when I ask him about the headaches he answers that the pain is not like the headaches pain but something weird like the pain of a cerebral accident. I am confused
He eats everything except oily foods and pastas. Thats what the pathologist said.

Yup, I'm also assuming that the neurologist would be the one to arrange the CT scan. I'd aim to get this done ASAP just to discount any other more serious possibilities as to what is causing all of this.
Zoloft is an anti-depressant type medication (I think it's an SSRI) and could be causing the headaches.
There's a lot of uncertainty here.....You need to get a diagnosis.

He had head pains before he started zoloft.
So I assume that tomorrow I have to arrange an appointment with the neurologist...
