Has anyone ever had or even heard of anyone having hallucinations as a side effect of zoloft?

No I have not, if so then I think that would be a severe bad reaction to the drug.

I was on it for 8 years and the only thing I got from it side effects wise was a bit of nausea, agitation, and a couple other effects, but no never heard of someone having that.

I have taken Zoloft and it didn't do much of anything for me. I've not heard of hallucinations as a side effect, but anything is possible with these drugs. It obviously isn't the drug for you.

Did you have any other side effect besides hallucinations?

A friend of mine took Zoloft and found that it gave him a metallic taste in his mouth.

No, I haven't. But I don't know anyone else who takes it now or has taken it in the past. I just started taking it this week. I'm taking the 25mg/day this week and then 50mg/day for the next two weeks. After that, who knows, maybe up to 100mg/day or 150mg/day if well-tolerated and effective. I'll report my side effects later. I really hope hallucinations isn't one of them. :)

I've never heard that specifically... But everyone is different. Zoloft made me pretty crazy.

i was on zoloft for 2 weeks but then it started giving me panic attacks so i stopped. but my prozac gives me hallucinations sometimes. sometimes i see bright flashing lights in my head when i am trying to sleep and i did some research and sure enough it is a common hallucination. i hear that those bright flashing lights are a common withdrawal effect to.

^^^

For side effects of many medications anxiety is something that is not uncommon while first expierencing the medication, 2 weeks isn't long on that at all, usually it is 6-8 weeks, that's how long it took for me to work.
