i have been dating her for almost a year and she has told me that she has been seeing a therapist and a psychologist too. and has been on countless antidepressants that didn't work. but she was put on lamactal and that seems like its working. but she also needs to be on a antidepressant meds too. i was wondering if there are any suggestions on any medications that are Tetracyclic that would work well with the other meds she is on. she is also on antivan

Well all meds react differently. Even if one drug works great, another could be very similar in a technical sense and screw the person up.

It can be a very distressing process as you feel like it's really never going to get better but she just has to keep trying.. try new drugs and new doses, but give them time to settle in too.

yea but and that was the doctors recommendation she was just reevaluation at u of m and they thought it would be best if she was on Tetracyclic of some sort

Along with me being a schizophrenic, I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder. I was put on remeron (mirtazapine). It worked very well for me. I had been dealing with depression for a few months by myself but I told my sister about it. I then went to a psychiatrist and he prescribed me remeron. It helped me flip my mindset around. It does take 3-4 weeks to work but it works well. Only problems with it is I started getting really hungry and gained weight and it is sedative.

right now she is on lamictal and nortriptyline and i dont think its working but it has only been a few weeks. but im still willing to put up with the mood swings and the panic attacks.
