Depression Is Real

Postby Brumble » Mon Jul 26, 2010 6:15 am

To give an idea how bad depression really is, I will share some personal findings. My teeth were decaying literaly chipping away some all the way down to the gum line & my gums were bleeding every day for years with severe pain, the only pain I remember over shadowing the severe tooth pain & headachs was the depression. Depression is soo severe on the scale of suffering some individuals cut there skin open seeking some relief, some do more harsh self injuring. Depression is real suffering, don't let any one tell you other wise.

Dear Jason,

For sure depression can be absolutely devastating. I can also relate to what you said about your teeth. Do you get any help with what is going on with your depression? Your signature seemed to suggest you are quite lonely, I can identify with that too. I do not have straight depression, I have bipolar, but I get really horrid depression from it. When you have a MH problem it is really hard to recover, esp without support. Your msg eloquently explains to ppl what it is like to suffer from something that some ppl seem to think you can just snap out of. I just saw your msg and thought that I hoped you have some support in place and if not can you get some? I don't know where you are wrt your MH but i just wanted to say that I agree with your post and that I hope you have or can get some support to help you.

I hope it works out

I don't have much to say please forgive me, i'm not happy. Nope I have no support beyond going online and asking for help, the replys no matter how understanding are just typed words which bounce off me instead of *feeling* there supporive nature. I'm not purely diagnosed depressive either but I sure do struggle with my self enuff, thank you for replying and getting some thing out of what I typed. That's all I have to say for now, sorry I took soo long to reply.

Guess things could be worse, that thought dose not comfort me though it only makes me more ashamed. If I take to long to type this I will turn minipulative soo i'm rushing to be my self, I replyed to one person on the web site trying to be helpfull soo thats good I guess. Church was horrable I felt ugly and took a new note book in writeing stuff about my experence just to try and cope with all those people but it dident help me then I ripped the two pages out because I dispise my self too much to read it or have any one find it. I'm just one of many people, some one dies each day with out notice soo why do I deserve to be noticed.. I don't in my opinion. Just replying here was an effort aginst not wanting to over shadow new threads, I'm trying to fit in but it causes me soo much pain to find people to like me i'm not the me I like any more i'm depressed lonely trying too hard to be liked. :(

Dear Jason,

Don't know if you are lurking but why not use this place for support as right now (as I am sure you know) you sound depressed and you do matter and you do deserve help and needing help is not selfish or overshadowing anyone's posts. I apologise if you feel I am talking rubbish as I don't "know" you and have only posted to you once on this thread. But I know how bad it feels to be depressed and how worthless you feel. Well you are not. You are just as deserving as anyone for support. I hope this post reaches you. If not I hope you get the help and support and friendship you deserve.
