Happy depressed person.

Postby Eric_Lee » Sun Jun 21, 2009 8:48 am

I've been oddly happy for the last.. 2 too 3 weeks or so. My cynisism is still there. My lack of faith in the world is still there. And all my other *down* symtoms are still there.. yet i am cheerful. I suppose i am always cheerful, the only thing that got me down was some silly psych telling me i fit under "set" label. Last time i go there. Pooey on their silly labels i say, POOEY! Keep the term depressed for the actually depressed, and not the "dysthemic" or w/e thats called.

hi eric

See, what you have to do, it is very simple and i am sure you can do this. Start thinking like this : I have faith in myself, enough. Now keep this thinking and more over and over again. Then see after some time, you will get back your all faith and your depression will be over. It will be no more. You will live your life with peace and happiness. :)

I'm not depressed, it hinders me in no way. I have no interest in changing. Thanks though.

See eric lee, if you cant take any interest in changing yourselves, then you have to accept one thing, no one will take interest in you and may be you cant get the thing you desired. Sorry, if you feel any sort of force, we are not forcing you to change. You can live as you want.

I find it to be the opposite. The less interested in changing yourself you are, the more others feel the need to change you.

hi eric_lee,

I am sorry for your thinking, you are taking it as reverse. They will take you as awkward person. Because you can't change or can't solve your problems. If you don't change yourself in your life, then tell me how you can move ahead? You have to deal with attitude, your thinking and your intentions. These all counts. They must be changed in such a good way. After all, it is your wish, what you want. Just i was telling you the fact. I told you these as my duty.

Thanks for the attempt, but its landing on closed ears. I am not interested in changing, and if that will cause people to not try and get close, then its a double winner. two birds, one stone.

I was just trying to express how inaccurate some of these "Diagnosis's" are.. anything to get you to commit to therapy = $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Hello eric_lee I am a believer in happy cynicism and I can't see why anyone needs to change that. However, since you mentioned you feel "oddly" happy, as though you were frequently depressed previously to this mood change, you may actually be in a manic or a mixed state atm? I don't mean to get diagnostic here, but just as a heads up, if you suddenly "crash" into a depression a doctor and some mood stabilisers may actually help. But hey, if you are happy, enjoy it and I wish you well.
