pessimism, cynicism = sobriety
relationships will make you happy. why?
because they allow you to turn a blind eye towards reality.
the Truth is cold and harsh and unrelenting in the mind.
every second: reverberation
every observation: reinforcement
there isn't a goddamn person that can seem to understand
how it feels to be raped by your own invasive thoughts.
i would like to end my own.

Yes, that is exactly why relationships make you happy, but isn't that good enough? I mean, isn't that worth fighting for? Why would you deny yourself a chance to be in a relationship where you could be 'happy'?

...and these two are the reasons why you won't pursue a relationship? Your answer to this is irrelevant, actually, and I shouldn't be trying to change your view on it. I respect your view, in fact, ad you can hold it (i.e. - the view) for as long as you want. However, one thing I know is that nothing lasts forever and way you are now will not be the way you
will be in a year or so. Things change - people change - everything changes.

Take a step back from everything you're doing, and then do it all differently. If needs be, get rid of things from your life that you don't need.

there is no rational reason to deny one's self of happiness.
for most people, pessimism is not a choice but an embedded mentality.
i think everyone here knows how it feels to have their thoughts ruin their lives.
but sometimes to feel better you have to change your core, become someone new and leave the old you behind. And that is what scares people because self-preservation in humans concerns the psyche more than the body.
'I would rather be a human dissatisfied than a pig satisfied' - some philosopher, I forgot his name sorry. This statement may make sense to you but it is logically contradictory because you cannot by definition prefer dissatisfaction. Sometimes you have to reduce your thought to find peace (medication, religion..). It may be better to change than to cease existing completely. I don't know yet because I haven't changed. Life may mean nothing to you in this moment, but given just a bit of time. It is all we have.
