I dont know if it's because of my depression but I am bored all the time now. The things I used to do in my free time - mainly surfing the net and chatting with people online - aren't fun anymore. I just find myself bored all the time. I know I should try to search for some new hobby but I lack the will to. My days are spent with me waiting for the time to go to bed. Sometimes I wish I'd never wake up. I'm so tired of all this. And the college classes are not helping. I'm finding myself anxious all the time while in class. I have the urge to scream, these thoughts in my head that don't let me rest. I have told this to my therapist and she increased my sertraline dosage. I hope it has some effects since my life right now sucks.

Hi,
The loss of interest in things that you once loved is a big indicator of depression. So, I guess that it's your depression that is causing you to feel this way. I'm the same though: I used to enjoy talking to people on the Internet, playing computer games, playing football (soccer), but I don't enjoy any of these anymore. I've become too serious.
I woudn't be counting on the sertraline helping you on this matter. It will probably just have the effect of making you more tired / less active. The days can be long - I know - which is why I try to keep as busy as possible. I suggest that you do the same.
