Hi all. I'm a chronic manic depressive who has been functionning quite well for several years without meds, thanks to focusing on diet and exercise. Unfortunately life events have sent me on a downswing, and I know I could handle it better with some simple meds (prozac has worked for me before).
Here's the rub: I have bad health insurance and if I ask my MD for some and that goes on my record, my policy could be cancelled. I'd like to simply get the meds discreetly on my own, but I'm wary of online pharmacies and I won't have a prescription. Are any of those sites safe?

They are all a pig in a poke, or Russian Roulette where you pay for the privilege of taking your life in your own hands.
I sympathize with your predicament, but buying something that you will ingest without knowing whether you are swallowing Prozac, strychnine, or baking soda is a pretty risky proposition.

I assume you're in the United States? Can you get access to public mental-health services? If you go to them, they'll probably assume you have no insurance unless you tell them otherwise.
Also, I used to see a doctor who didn't accept any insurance, was holistically oriented, and had tons and tons of samples, enough to substitute for prescriptions for her patients. I wonder if you might be able to find someone like this. ??
