Developing Tolerance to Antidepresant

Hello,

I used to use celexa 1,5 years, after that ( when I have been using it) in couple of months I get depression again,
than after long suffering (doctors didnt understand at first)
I have changed to cipralex and after 10 months depression symptoms came back, now I was experienced depressive
changed to paxil, now I dont know what will be after 10 months.
are there any body happend samething ? or I am the alone one ?

You can build a tolerance to medication where it doesn't work for you anymore.

I've had that happen with Zoloft that I was on for 8 yrs, and Remeron which I was on roughly 6-8 months...


You aren't alone with this, I've dealt with it personally twice now.

I think I went through about 5 dosage changes as I got used to Zoloft. They may be able to increase your dose some or switch to another medication. I'd bring this up with your Psychiatrist.
