Hi,
I am new to this site, just came across it tonight. I read a couple of posts regarding hospitalisations for attempted suicide and SI and everyone's experience with regard to how they were treated at the hospital seemed to be pretty positive and was just wondering if any one had experienced negative reactions from hospital staff eg. being dismissive, not being overly helpful, making you feel like you don't deserve help because you did it to yourself?

Everyone that has at least some sort of brain tissue, knows that mental illness is just that, "you can not do it to yourself".
And if they had that perception, they would not last a minute in the mental health field of medicine.
