When "normal" people lose interest in an activity they will move on to something else because they will now have free time to fill. When you lose interest in everything that is one sign of depression. Even lazy people have interests. They just tend to be very unproductive interests.

yeah this is common with depression, its also common to think your being lazy, because depressed people also sort of put themselves down and tend to feel bad about themselves (plus the world is pretty mean and tells us we are lazy). Try not to add insult to injury, don't attack yourself or feel guilty. Be your own best friend, be compassionate towards yourself, think about what you'd do for someone else who was feeling depressed and do it for yourself. Try your best to get out there if you can in whatever small way you can... sometimes faking it till you make it can be a strategy...like ride your bike or listen to music or whatever and smile, look around/listen, be in the moment, you might be surprised that you actually do start to enjoy it.
