Hello.
I'm on Abilify ( aripiprazole ) 15 mg. for psychotic-like symptoms and my doc has decided to start a treatment for my depression with a new drug called vortioxetine ( Brintellix ).
Since aripiprazole is a weak partial agonist of the 5-HT7 receptor and vortioxetine is a antagonist of that same receptor, I wonder whether it would be an issue for me to take those two meds together.
Any advice or opinion?
What do you think? Will it be dangerous or something?
Thank you very much.

I took both of them together and I was fine. I've taken Abilify to treat psychotic sypmptoms and it worked. Then I had to deal with depression.
I really liked Brintellix. It took about 6 weeks for it to start working. Everyone is different so it might work sooner on you. My advice is just to watch and see how you react and call your doctor if you have any questions or concerns.
