Time to start talking about it

Postby Flying Tache » Fri Sep 16, 2016 12:57 am

Hey all :) This is an about me/ Help me post I suppose :?
I was diagnosed with Dysmetria at 13,
I'm now 24 and was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder three years ago. Also A.D.D.

I was prescribed anti depressants when I was around 13. I never really took them untill recently(On and off). I took them for a year (When I was 23) and noticed real no change in myself/depression.
I came off and haven't taken any since.
Honestly I feel the same as I did starting/stopping them and when on them
(not to say they aren't effective for other people, I have heard many success storys!)
I was diagnosed with Dysphoria and Depression. I haven't really talked about this for a long time.

I have tried these medications:

LSD (very low amount)
Amfexa (A.D.D pills, helps with anxiety and conentration. very little with depression.)
Amitriptyline
Pregabalin
Escitalopram
citalopram

None of them eased the depression. When I was 16 they did an IQ test, I scored 126, I don't know if that comes into the equation of my depression.
The only thing that seems to help is exercise (Temp relief) And alcohol (I don't drink often)

Please, is there anything at all that you can suggest to make this stop?
I'm going to be trying Hydroptherapy on myself, it's meant to help releive derpession.

Practising mindfulness has helped me. It hasn't been a cure but it gives me a certain level of clarity, without which, I wouldn't know any peace at all. All the best.

Can you go see another doctor and tell them everything you wrote here. That antidepressants didn't do anything for you. With all the modern medicine and new information out there, there has to be a solution. That's what I would do.
