Hello all , i really glad i came across this forum , im going to start by saying i have been diagnosed with manic depression/anxiety/sleep disorder/bipolar/multiple personality disorder.. i have been depressed for the past 9 years i am 25 now , it really got worst about 3 years ago once my nan who was a second mother to me got sick with cancer and ended up passing away with cancer i took it really hard and got into drugs for something to comfort me so i got prescription for percocets for tooth pain and it became my high to get numb it got worst and worst so i got into detox and im now 2 years clean , now i have been on so many antidepressants i cant even count and nothing worked , but getting off was so far worst then starting.. so i never been on antidepressants for 4 years , so doc put me on Ritalin 10 mg which i used for more then 1 year and it works great but i still get lethargic and sick some days .. everything was going fine then all sudden my sister got sick again she has been suffering from Anorexia and alcholism so she is now in the hospital again on suicide watch and now the bad things start happening shes in there for a min of a month .. Im trying to deal with gambling which is hard really taking a toll on my life , just informed today my good friend at work who i talk to everyday is fired :( not sure what to do i feel lost and alone ..

If you have Bipolar, sometimes antidepressants can drive you into mania. Do you also take a mood stabilizer like Lithium, Depakote, or Lamictal? I would also research more anti-depressants online if depression is more of a problem than mania. Anxiety medications can be helpful when you're stressed or can't sleep such as Valium (benzodiazepene).
