Do you know of any drugs that help with mood swings and doesn't affect your sex life?
I was on some typical SSRI meds (I've been on few) and all of them have made me...... numb, to say it in a nice way. I want to keep a good sex life with my husband.

Wellbutrion(sp?), and TCA/triclics(sp?) such as mirtzapine have low chances of sexual side effects. So you could try those.

If it's mood swings due a recurrent depressive disorder then antidepressant that also target the norepinephrine and/or dopamine system could do the trick. The monoamines serotonin, norepinephrine and dopamine affect each others. Antidepressant with a high effect on serotonin only are the ones most likely to give sexual side effects. Adding wellbutrin to an SSRI often eliminates the sexual side effects of the SSRI. The new drug Vortioxetine supposedly gives less sexual side effects than the traditional SSRI's.

Vortioxetine is also supposed to have a lower incidence of sexual side effect, but Wellbutrin is a sure thing.
