How do you deal with managing other people at work while in a depression? I have a hard time caring about what I'm doing let alone what others are doing. And I'm afraid that my team will see my apathy and it'll affect them.

if your employees are trust worthy, you could tell them that you're a little unwell. you dont have to give them the specifics, just say that you've got a little stress.

That's something to consider. I'm not usually one to show any vulnerability. I'll have to think about this.

you dont have to tell them the details. you can just say: 'i'm very busy with some other work right now, so if you've got small issues, try to settle them amongst yourselves.' or ask some friend/colleague(who is also a manager) to co-ordinate for sometime.

I would suggest trying anti-depressant medications. If you are and remain depressed I would keep bugging your MD. It worked for me. It can take a while though to find medications that work but is well worth it.
