What are your thoughts / Focus on what...

Postby liveyourdream » Fri Feb 13, 2015 1:34 pm

Has anyone had any accomplishments (small or big) there proud of or that made them feel good? If so, please do share... it can as small as an invisible thread... its still existent, right? ...

Whether or not you have something to share (hopefully you'll share at least one thing)... does anyone agree that writing things down such as accomplishments or progress can be helpful to our well being and road to recovery? whether or not we back track (frequently or infrequently). I've also heard, writing down problems is helpful as well... just to get them out?? I feel like most of us know what the source or cause of our pain is, or at least where we place the "blame" ...so after writing the issue down or discussing them i feel like we shouldn't continue communicating about them and rather, focus on what we do want and how we would like to feel... or can it be good (therapeutic) to continue thinking and speaking about it with others??

I know forums are all about speaking about the problems we have, getting insight & possibly getting help and also being able to connect with others who can relate :D but are we feeding our illness or helping to overcome it the more we speak about it and read about it?? I would like opinions and your feelings about this... I don't know whether there is a right or wrong here so if you have an opinion pleeeease do share! Not even sure if there's an answer at all since everyone is different lol but i think the brain may work the same way in many cases so?? umm... Judgement free zone!

I would recommend some volunteer work. And of course trying medications until you find one(s) that work.

Sorry, I was responding to another post I thought. I find it helpful to write my accomplishments down.
You raised some good questions that I do not really know what the answers are. I don't think it's that simple to know what ones problems are. I feel like I am in a continual process of peeling an onion.
