Depression and psychical sensations

Postby 5020 » Thu Jan 15, 2015 10:02 pm

I know psychical sensations can be part of depressive symptoms. Mine defiantly get worse if I am feeling particularly down or stressed. Just wondering if people get light and sound sensitivity as part of this.

On some occasions I have found people merely talking too much to cope with and need to retreat in to a quiet place away from noise. But it normally just means the average annoying noises such as traffic or barking or drilling turn in to something more. Like its tearing at a brain wave or something. Similarly with lights. Blinking lights or the bright lights in supermarkets. They become more than uncomfortable, by eyes begin to strain and hurt.

Then there is the chest pain and shortness of breath and migraines. In away all of this distracts me from my feelings of restlessness and irritability.
