Flat affect/reduced emotions

Postby thewretched111 » Sat Aug 30, 2014 4:44 pm

I have MDD with psychosis (schizoaffective in a few months) and I'm wondering if a lot of depressed people have flat or blunted affect. I feel emotionally drained most of the time, being in a major depressive episode and psychotic episode. Usually my mood is severely low and I feel anger, frustration, and sadness, but this is the first episode that I recall feeling flat. I know some people have flat affect with depression, but it could be early schizophrenia (paranoid delusions, disorganization and poverty of speech, apathy, flat affect, etc.)
DX: Schizoaffective (bipolar type) and OCD.
Unofficial DX: BPD, C-PTSD and DPD.
