Experience with B6 and depression

Postby Roger1234 » Sat Jun 07, 2014 1:09 pm

I've read that vitamin B6 facilitates the effects of AD's. I'm currently on 300mg. of Effexor, and 300mg. of Seroquel. I started taking 100mg of the B6, and nothing improved. Although something strange did happen after about 5 days in: I had a crazy dream. I dreamed that my Uncle(He's passed away) was being very rude to me. (He's never been rude to me in my life except in my aforementioned dream life)
So in the dream I grabbed him and started to beat on him. What happened though is that I grabbed my pillow(thinking it was him)and started to pound the pillow. I have never had such a dream in my life. So I went off the B6, and I've never had a bad dream like this since.
I'm not advising people to not take the B6; I'm just putting my experience out there.

I don't know if I even ever took B6 but I had the crazy dream experience due to Seroquel. I take 50 mg -- it puts me to sleep. It also gives me technicolor amazing dreams. A few nights ago it was a bit less amazing though -- in my dream I was heavily beaten up by a nazi skinhead. Well, I'm glad it didn't really happen...
Currently working on my upcoming signature.

I recently read an article that 5 types of depression were identified and blood/urine tests can distinguish them. Two of those required meds, the other three were nutrition based. Of those three, one of them needed B6. (This is based off my rather bad memory... Forgive me if the details are off...)
