Hello everyone, I wondering if anyone else is taking the anti-depressants trazodone and/or cymbalta. I am prescribed with both and have been for about a month now. I'm also unhappy to inform everyone that I do not feel any differently, probably worse if I had to choose a black/white term.
I wanted to know if you guys have had any experiences with these anti-depressants and how your experiences are/were with them.
+Additional note
I am feeling the side effects of both of the drugs, both loss of appetite and little to no sex drive.
Thanks for your time x

I take trazodone as a sleep aid. it doesn't do anything else for me, but it definitely helps me sleep - and with no side effects

I’m guessing the Trazadone was prescribed for sleep, as it's not used much for depression anymore. If so, the average “sleep” dose is much smaller than the dose they would use for depression. In other words, I wouldn't expect much relief from depression with the Trazadone.
What dose of Cymbalta are you taking? You might just need to increase your dosage, or even try a new anti-depressant. I would bring this up with your doctor the next time you see him.
Take care & I hope you feel better.

I was taking 60mg of cymbalta for a week or so and then I ran out just a couple of days ago. I was originally taking 30mg, but I told my old psych doctor that I didn't feel any better. My next appointment with my new psych doctor isn't until June, so I am in anti-depressant downwards slope. Thank you for replying and yes, the trazodone was taken for sleep. (I probably should have specified, sorry!) I was taking 100mg of that. I also ran out of trazodone around the same time I ran out of cymbalta, so I'm a bit on edge. (I also apologize that I'm going all over the place with my reply)
Thank you again for replying and have a nice day x

Sorry you ran out of your meds. I would call the pharmacy or your doctor and see if they can issue you a refill, at least on the Cymbalta. Going off Cymbalta too quickly can cause a lot of withdrawal symptoms.
