Hey all!

I'm James. I'm a 21 year old with ALOT going for me! But a ton of things make me depressed. I dont know how to get past these issues:

1. I'm disabled: speech impediment; people PERCIEVE me as retarded, but I'm not.

low self-esteem

NO confidence in self

beat myself up for not being "normal"

2. I'm gay

3. Combine 1 & 2: Its like whoah!

What are your feelings??

Hi James, I am gay too, not 100% but i am pretty sure I am. I am a devouted Catholic and everything i have learned all my life is taking a toll on me. Are you religous? How would your family react to the news? My family is trying to get me to see a priest so i can become streight. IT is very hard. What helps a little is get involved wit theatre. Theatre allows everyone to be who they want to be. I am in school with other students who have learning disabilities and I can gurantee you that they are all smart and gifted. It is unfortunete you dont see yourself as a bright gifted person. And from I can tell you dont have and handicapp or disability but a road obstacle that you will eventually surpass and adjust for the better. I have severe depression but to be honest sometimes I am sad as hell and for no reason what so ever. I just feel miserable and depressed. Are you on any meds? Do you see a psychiatrist? Take Care

Up until I graduated from college I had a serious speech problem. It was a bummer. No one took me seriously. I felt all alone, not being able to communicate with others. I was like a non person. I've had many other problems over the years, but I've managed to
cope with them.

Good Luck,
Jim S

best thing is, love who you are, because if you don't stand up for yourself, then who will? thats how my life was, i now can say i have one true blue love who will do that, but i have served my time in jail for being bron for it, so yea, it was abotu time he came along! no, i am not gay, though most think moramind is a boys name lol, idk? it was a song i liked! lol, anyway, my sister had alot of trouble coming out, and i found out after that i was the first person she came out to. so yea, wow, be who you want, be what you want, be what you wnat to be, and be happy about it, if you have blessings, treat them as so, and don't let them go, you said life was going well save for a few loving of myself issues, well, we all got those, but best thing is, say hey! i gotta love mE! casue when i lay my head on that pillow at night, it's me i'm their with! and the speech thing, well, i've never had that problem, btu i'm sure you can find a therapist to help you with it, or a friend even:) i know my lil cousins see a speech therapist at their school, they are both about half deaf, due to being the 7th and 8th children! lol, so yea, life takes work, and in the end, it'll pay off:)
somtimes, it's like i want to touch these lights, and give into them become them, just a flash for a moment~in this world
