alternatives to medication

Postby soyamilk » Wed Mar 22, 2006 2:13 pm

if you do more research you will discover that there are a few alternatives to taking medication.

However, my very good friend swears by St Johns Wort to get her through. i think there may be a contraindication for astma sufferers but it is always best to ****RESEARCH. AND CONSULT YOUR PHARMAICST, HEALTHCARE PROVIDIER OR DOCTOR****

Have you considered Amino Acids as a way of treating your condition? There are a few that may help :

5Htp - natural antidepressant. recommended to start on a low dose and increase until relief is found. may take 4-8 weeks

L-Tryptophan - like 5Htp but can work better for some. NB*** Tryptophan can also be found in foods such as turkey****

SAme - effective for depression. good for anxiety. works fast.

It is recommended that you take any of the above with B Complex vitamin to work effectively.

*****REMEMBER TO ALWAYS CONSULT SOMEONE QUALIFIED BEFORE TAKING AS THESE MAY AFFECT ANY MEDS YOU ARE CURRENTLY TAKING*******RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH****

However, there is also growing evidence that taking Omega 3 EPA can help with depression. although the EPA must be high strength (90%) and must NOT contain DHA or ALA.

Recommended dosage: 4 times daily for 3 months.

Hope i have given you something to think about and maybe look into. Stay Well.
