heya

Im 15 as well and have had this since i was 14, its demoralizing and a really hellish thing to have, as im sure you will agree. :)

Im not sure what is the cause of my dp/dr at all...i really need to find out, same as you, i get the whole dream-like state thing, and definitely the 'wake up in own bed at any minute' thing. also..i agree that it is pretty un-livable..but we've got to do the best we can because...hopefully, like me, you will never lose hope that one day, for a whole day, you will be dp/dr free XD

i am considering seeing someone about it aswell..but im not sure what to say, as i told my regular doctor and she looked at me as if i was barking mad, which made me feel humiliated and my confidence was hit. so im gonna try again soon..keep fighting people!

I know exactly what you mean. I'm 21 now have been going thru this the last 5 years or so. I feel like it is someone else who is talking, moving, and interacting with everything around me. I have prayed for it to go away, but it is still always in the back of my head even when it goes away. I used to have mild panic attacks when these occurred because I would lose all sense of reality and would get scared that I wouldn't come out of that state of mind. I thought I was the only one out there that went through this experience, mostly because I never told anyone else about it because I didn't think anyone would believe me, or if they did, that they'd never want to talk to me again because they thought I was crazy.

Try not to bump posts older then the year we are in now... chances of the original poster from 05 coming here to read your response is thin, instead start a new topic.

Thanks.
