Question: Do you cry?

Postby BonjourJakk » Mon Jan 30, 2012 7:14 am

Do you cry?

If so, how often, and why? What usually causes your crying?

I rarely cry, and when I do, it's only during movies.

I do cry a lot. A movie or show can really trigger me to start crying, I'm very sensitive to those. If I'm really depressed or overwhelmed, I can easily cry. I don't think my dissociation blunts my emotions all that much.

It can really vary for me, sometimes emotions are very muffled, somewhere below the surface, whatever. Sometimes I'm very very sensitive. But if something is really upsetting and I focus on that, I will definitely cry. But I can also just shut it off and ignore it. Sometimes I don't want to ignore it, or logically realize I should be crying and "let it out" for whatever reason.

I'm the same as EarlGreyDregs, I cry really easily. Sometimes all it takes is something on a TV show that tugs at the heart strings. And the DP has not affected me being emotional at all, maybe a little numb sometimes.

hmm...the weird thing is, real life rarely causes me to cry. Because i dont feel like im in my body, and everything isn't real...so i will purposely watch emotional movies just to feel something. Otherwise when it comes to real life, i don't know what I'm feeling... Just detached. Always detached from reality. Even when, I'm laughing, i don't feel like I'm genuinely laughing, like I'm forcing it or.
Everything just seems so dull and pointless to me
