Travis,

Peptron seems to have got it right. Depersonalisation can make you hear or feel all sorts of impossible things.

I have seen things that weren't there, heard sounds that existed only in my head, even felt something brush against my skin when nothing was to be seen (scary as hell). So, if it comforts you, you are not alone. Your symptoms are different from mine, but the core idea is the same.

I too feel constantly that I am about to go crazy in a minute or two. It's another common trait to the disorder. And I've seen my body move out of its own accord, which is not unlike your voice altering itself.

Of course you know you should see another psychiatrist or psychologist, so I won't stress it. But let me make a comment: anyone that sounds horrified when you talk to him/her is not fit for the job. My former psychologist seemed to be disgusted by what I was, and spent all her time questioning me and trying to make me admit I was faking it all. When I refused to, she turned sullen and criticised me all the time, and it was a relief for us both when I went for another therapist.
"But as I have noticed in more than one occasion, life itself is unfair, and there is no complaint department, so we might as well accept things the way they happen, clean up the mess, and move on"

Hi there! I have never actually hear of my voice sounding different, but perhaps if I think about it it does sound like a recording when I go into a depersonalized state. Ive always more thought of this as hearing myself talk, like I guess listening through a recorder would sound. Its as if each of my senses was seperate from each other and didn't connect. Its funny because its impossible to explain properly.
