Quick querie...:)

Postby pheebz123 » Sat Aug 08, 2009 7:45 pm

I just wondered, alongside dp/dr i get dizzy spells, and before i knew it was dp/dr i went to the doctor for the dizziness, she gave me pills called 'prochlorperazine maleate' for vertigo and schitzophrenia

they arent making any effect at all really

should they be working? or are they the wrong pills for me?

thanks, phoebe xx

Hi,

Your questions should be asked to your doctor, and not here... ... :? Some pills are slow-acting and you will not notice their effects in the short term. I think that most pills for psychology are slow-acting.

Have you been diagnosed with both, or was it something your doctor came out and gave you pills for ?

hey

yeah is suppose i should talk more to my doctor about it,
i have not been formally diagnosed with it but im pretty much 100% sure i have it, i told my doctor last year (my old doctor) that everything felt fake, like a movie, and she just said to have a 'nice holiday', whether she took what i said down and gave it to my new doctor, i dont know, but im uneasy about talking to my doctor about dr/dp because of how dismissive my doctor was last time.

ive been taking these pills since april, they gave some difference to start with, but now, i guess my body is used to them

pheebz123, did you communicate your symptoms to your doctor sufficiently enough? If you didn't tll him/her evrything, then how can he/she know the gravity of your problem(s)? I really believe that communicayion plays a major part in how a person cops/recovers from a mental health problem. So, go back to that doctor and outline everything that you feel is wrong. If he/she says something about you that you feel is incorrect, then speak up and tell him/her how it really is.
