Depersonalization-->self-importance/delusions of grandiosity

I was wondering if anyone here deals with self-importance issues..

I'm bipolar II so it probably has more to do with that than the dissociation, but often I feel like all I can really know exists is my own thoughts and the matter i'm made of..

Could result in the need to feel like I'm something significant or great?

It sounds like a lot of pseudoscience--it probably is--but I'd appreciate some opinions, if you please.

Hi, ningyo! I think I might be bipolar too, or something like that, and I have had self-importance issues as well. Please feel free to talk here. Sorry for the late reply.

Hey =]
I find the same thing...I sort of feel as though everyone evolves around me and that no one just thinks of me as a stranger on the street, but actually takes care in noticing me.
As an example right now I feel as though once I've posted this everyone will read it and take it strongly into account.

I don't think I'm bipolar though...I think it may have something to do with paranoia or trust, in the way that you probably don't believe that everything is real because of the dissociation and you may believe that everyone knows about you and you're in like a Truman Show situation.
If you have a psych, you should probably tell them about it =]
