Full Recovery 100% then a powerfull relapse

Postby toto » Mon Jul 13, 2015 7:25 am

this is my first post and i am from Saudi Arabia so there could be some language mistakes. i am a 2 years dpdr sufferer and an 8 years agoraphobia suffrerer.

i have been suffering from this awful condition for almost two years. the funny part is two years ago i did i root canal to a tooth in my apper jaw and you know these small sticks they put inside the root the dr. put them until it pierced into the sinus and i left the tooth that way . all drs said i need surgery. just 3 months ago i took off that tooth a miracle happend dpdr had gone for good i mean 100% recovery. but my happieness didn't last after about five days my dpdr came back in a more severe way i mean dpdr plus physical symptoms one of them severe pressure in my head 24/7 after that i suspected if it was an orgainc cause so i did the surgery because the sticks was still there still having dpdr did an mri scan to the brain ct scan to my sinus thyroid test all came back normal i went so a phsycologist and he prescriped mr pristiq and escitalopram and i didn't use em cause iam afraid my dpdr would get worse . can anyone relate and explain what the ###$ just happened according to my case. there is so many details i didn't go through because what matters to me not how i got it but why the hell i got cured then got it back much worse than before.

I can't say exactly what had happened or why you were momentarily healed. I have read in the past about people that did something like what you mentioned. Had something that clearly bothered them, fixed the problem, and were much better. Then right after everything came back, either the same or worse. Everything is mental anyway, so perhaps this gave you a sense of recovery and relief. So you were healed, only momentarily, because everything else that might be bothering you in your life started bothering you again. Could be way off, I really don't know. Just a guess.

I swear to god it was not sort of dellusions i actually heald 100% and in those 4to5 days of being dpdr free i tried to concentrate and feel dpdr again and i failed just how when you have dpdr and you can't relate to how you used to feel when you your normal. it is excactley the opposite when you are dpdr free even at one point i said to myself this feeling was ridiculous you know it is like the difference when you were dpdr free and you are asleep and dreaming some dreams will get caught into you like you are in a movie but when you wake you realise that it was a dream and you get off your bed brush your teeth get dressed go to work it was excactlly the same experince everything returned natural 3d crystial clear with no foggyness. i swear to god i don't know what to do anymore i feel i ran out of choices

and yeah i forget to mention, when i did the mri scan to the brain dr. said everything were normal and he gave me the report and i didn't bother myself reading it, cause i said that the dr. knows better than i do. after about a month don't know for what ever reasone i read the report. all the findings were normal except the last one and it says literally ( trace of mucosal thickening in the right ethmoid) and you know what when had that tooth taken off first thing of my healing symptoms that i was breathing so much better when i got home - and excuse me for this- i had mucous coming out from my nose like i was having a very bad fever, and that had been going through all the 4 - 5 days when i was dpdr free. when dpdr came back, and till this day i have a sense of congetion in my sinus and pressure in their locations when i lean at any direction. i even took the report to the ent dr. and gave him the report and he said this is not a big deal.

That is all very itneresting. And I know the feeling of having everything being crystal clear. Sometimes I will have it for a few seconds and it feels foreign and odd now. I don't know what helps, but perhaps one day we will find a answer. Good Luck.
