how to deal with dpd and dr

Postby SBBro » Fri Oct 10, 2014 6:11 am

Both are serious conditions, caused by acute stress. They are treatable.

Firstly forget ever taking any hallucinogens not even weed.

Alcohol can help but it's better to use an ssri such as zoloft.

The specific cbt techniques are:
Dpd: breath focus
Drd: feeling textures

You need to be very dedicated and committed to cbt as in an hour every day.

It also helps to expose yourself to anything such as phobias or ocd fears.

You can achieve full remission from dp/dr which I never knew. I don't have it anymore.

Talk therapy also helps just a bit. You should be regularly seeing a professional anyway while on meds and cbt.
I think a gp can prescribe you meds while a counselor can talk to you about panic attacks and such.
2012 "just anxiety"
2013 inpatient 'suicidality, MDD etc
2014 "youve been diagnosed with everything under the sun"
