out of my mind

hi i am new to this and i was wondering if anyone feels like i do, it seems that i am on the outside of my body have no feeling of me or my life feels like i am in a shell, my doctor says that i have depersonalization and derealization, it is scaring me to death, my doctor has put me on prozac and ativan until tuesday, then i have to get an eeg done, i already had an mri and cat scan and also bloodwork and nothing is showing up which is good but i feel so strange, he said he was going to put me on lactimil later can anyone suggest something thanks

I just saw your post. How did the eeg go? I really do not have any suggestions but a few questions. Do you feel physically out side of your body or just mentally detatched or both? I have lately felt physically outside but not until after I have been on med. I attribute it to that.
But it sounds as if this is a new issue for you. Were you on any meds when this feeling started?
I hope they can help you figure out what is going on, keep us up to date!
