Vague feeling like having experienced thsi before

Does anyone else suffering from DR have this? At random times I keep feeling like I know this. A faded memory. I have been through this. Well, not THIS. But ever since I have DR I keep having this familiar feeling. Not like a deja vu. Not the event, place etc. But the experience itself, the DR. It's so familiar. A nightmare from another time. It feels it goes way way back. I can't put my finger on it.

Anyone else experience this?

I get it all the time over the simplest of things like picking up a pen to worse things like you said nightmares... which I hate the feeling of. And when I explain to people they are like yeah they it is de ja vű and I'm like no but it doesn't feel like that it feels different. So I completely get where you are coming from. Just thought I'd reply because I know how it feels to post on here and see that 100 people have read your post but not wrote anything

What is DR? I sometimes get the feeling that I'm doing something in the now that I have done in the past, accompanied by a memory of it. It's like my brain hickups and throws a copy of what just happened into the "past" archives of my brain.

I've gotten stuff like that too. It's hard to describe, you did it well. People say it must be deja vu, but I've had deja vu and it is different than this. It happens when I'm on 'autopilot', as I call it, watching myself do stuff, sometimes. Like I'm playing out a scene or something that I've played out or watched before. Also, like Emily said, it can be over the simplist of things, like yesterday when I picked up the TV remote, it felt like I was viewing a memory yet it wasn't a memory.
