I have heard Depersonalization disorder thrown around quite frequently by others, especially when I go to the doctor, or I see my counselor. The term gets thrown around. Can anyone explain it to me?

Someone else will undoubtedly come by and clarify it for you but you are also quite capable of looking it up online. Wikipedia is always good for basic questions of this kind.

But the main point i want to make is when a doctor or councellor is using terms that you don't understand its your responsibility to ask them what they mean. and keep them talking until you understand properly. You have to be assertive if you want to get any benefit from talking to these people. All you have to do is ask.
