I wouldn't say you're being paranoid. Paranoia wouldn't cause you to feel detached from your body. I think that everyone experiences it differently. For me I feel like I'm in a dream that I can't wake from, my vision perspective changes throughout the day, my limbs feel like they aren't mine. The sky always looks like a painting, even when the clouds are moving. When I was a kid I never thought the face in the pictures or mirrors weren't mine. And then a couple years ago all of the other symptoms came up and its been a living hell since.
If you really want to know, ask your doctor or see a psychiatrist. They won't tell you how to control the symptoms but they should be able to give you a diagnosis. They treated me with seroquel, for this and bipolar, it seemed to help but I had to stop it because I kept missing class and that wound me up in the hospital.
