jer, plz just try to put into words what is wrong. i mean, it's okay to tell people how you feel, but this is not the way.. you'll only reach a point where people don't want to respond anymore because you give no feedback or explanation..

drive the other way

Postby dancerlady22 » Tue Aug 29, 2006 12:54 am

hey, i know where you are coming from. honestly i do. my depersonalization gets so bad sometimes that i feel hurting myself is the only way out of it. i have experience in handling depersonalization, and while i am only a kid i know one thing. hurting yourself is not the only way out of it.

 I'd try that but the simple fact is the only thing that ever brings me out of it - if it is what I have, is rash and unforgiving moments of life. AKA, I'd be able to drive the car into the wall, but shortly before I get to it - my mind would kick on and reality would come back and I'd go, "I'm a dumbass"...

Just a thought.

You will be okay Jer, please trust us when we say this. I understand what you mean, and I choose not to drive because of DP. Sometimes taking a shower, or just taking a walk, helps me. Is there anything you enjoy alot? Maybe hiking or writing? Those things that you enjoy can help! Do those when you get that "if I drove my car into a volcano, I wouldn't even know it" feeling.
Lurking in the grass, this grass is my home, this home is the void, the void of my mind...

Titus don't bump things this old please. Try to reply to those that are in the same year... not this old.
The chances of the original poster even seeing to reply it is slim to none.

please look as the date of the original poster before replying.
